Younes Ben Slimane<\/strong>\u00a0is an architect and artist. He studied at the National School of Architecture and Urban Planning in Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia. The Tunis based Jaou Festival hosted his first exhibition \u00abReady-to-Burn\u00bb in 2018. In 2019, he participated in collective exhibitions as \u00abConscious Landscapes\u00bb at the Museum of Contemporary Art Skopje; \u00abClimbing through the tide\u00bb at B7L9; \u00abEl kasma\u00bb during Gabes cinema Fen, and \u00ab Homogeneus \u00bb at the french Institut Fran\u00e7ais of Tunis. He was an artist-in-residence at Dar Eyquem and \u00abLes ateliers coteaux\u00bb. His documentary short film, \u00abAll Come From Dust\u00bb, won the Golden Tanit in Carthage Film Festival, and was officially selected in Locarno Film Festival, Pardi di domani competiton, \u00abPassaggi : intrecci mediterranei \u00bb in , and Pravo Ljudski Film Festival in Sarajevo and it will be screening in Clermont Ferrand film festival.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shape of Death<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If death is an indeterminate substance, how could we measure it, grasp it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Death is sometimes a spatial configuration embodied by white plastic chairs. In each house, it follows the shape of the house and aligns with its walls: the chairs will change layout according to the spatial configuration of the house, just like the water takes the shape of its container. It is also this volume that we dig; these gestures that inhabit those who make graves to finally let the body rest.
